I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media (emphasis Animation) I have three Associate Degrees (Multimedia, Animation, & General Studies—Salt Lake Community College), A+ Certification, and Web Design Certificates (University of Utah Continuing Education).

I have ten plus years experience in Digital Media. Most recently I was the a Digital Artist at Hydra Interactive Digital Media, where I created a wide variety of content (i.e. whatever was needed at the moment) prior to that I was Art Director at Kids Know It Network where I created all animation (from script to final—[concept, script writing, audio recording and editing, 3D modeling, textures, lighting, rendering, effects, video post & editing, and final publishing]) and I oversaw and approved all images, audio/video production, animation, and game production.

I have worked in a wide variety of creative positions, I created new intellectual properties (animated T.V. series, facebook/mobile game) helped develop other intelectual properties (animated Shorts, children’s books) I've created 3D models for the pilot of a children's T.V. show (Everybody's Barn). I've prepared images for web and print use for Arnold Friberg Fine Art. I have created logos, brochures, business cards, and fliers (Utah Transit Authority, Dynatec International Inc., Summertime Enterprises Inc., and individual clients).

  • I created and published two minute animated sequences (1–2 a week) on my own including: Pre-visualization, Script, Audio Recording and Editing, 3D Modeling, Textures, Lighting, Animation, Rendering, Visual Effects, Post-production, and Web Publishing. As a result web traffic increased 114% over a six month period. We were approached by Brazilian public television with a request to license and use a number of these animated shorts. We prepared them for broadcast by re-rendering in High Definition and re-editing them for Portuguese voice over; they are now the basis for a Windows 8 Application that has become the 5th most downloaded application in Brazil.

  • I used people and communication skills in co-directing a team of 7 artists, with widely varying skill levels, in the production of a 5 minute traditionally animated cartoon short that won first place in the Animation category of the Utah Multimedia Arts Festival. The deadline was a tight 3 months, and effective organizational and time management skills were essential for us to complete on time.

  • As a Creative Assistant Director, I used my illustration background to create series of sequential images to be used as instructions. Not having to contract an outside Illustrator saved the company time and money. This resulted in the completion of the package design update two weeks ahead of schedule, a 50% time reduction in concept to completion. The packaging was being updated due to confusion caused by the previous instructions; my illustrations clarified the manner in which the product was to be used.

  • I was approached by an entrepreneur to create a logo for a new start-up company. From this experience I have learned how to use Adobe Illustrator to give logos a more professional look and have created and vectorized logos for use in print and web, including a series of stickers to be given to construction workers for their hard hats, identifying which projects they had worked on for the Utah Transit Authority’s Transit 2015 project.

  • Because of my experience with a wide variety of media creation software applications, I suggested the introduction of 3D modeling and animation software to the package design pipeline. This reduced the mock up time per project from 8 hours per project to 1 hour or less, creating an annual savings of $13,000.

  • Using my Photoshop skills, I designed a set of Photoshop actions that allowed me to expedite the completion of a major project by six weeks, resulting in a savings to the company of about $2000. I pride myself in improving productivity without sacrificing quality
